shoutcast in second life with win amp settings

every time i log in second life i have to redo all the settings like input... encoder and output.............but when i have used edcast and it keeps the settings but not shoutcast
am i doing something wrong

Hi,

Are you using Windows 7? There's some security feature that stops the Winamp settings from being saved for some reason. It's not something I've looked in to but you could try running Winamp as Administrator and see if that helps.

If you start winamp as Administrator, you will be able to have your settings saved EXCEPT the format type in the Encoders tab. For some reason Winamp doesn't save that part. Just make sure it is set to MP3 every time you use it.

Once you have the settings entered in Administrator mode, you won't have to use that mode again (until you add/delete or change DSP settings).

To start Winamp in Administrator mode, right click on the Winamp icon and select "Run as Administrator".

i use a sam4 player and although i dont have to reset when im in sl
i do find i have to pass out the webpage link for listners to imbed
before it will play in sl
any ideas how to get around this?
