AutoDJ Request system

I'm playing with the idea of creating a request system for the AutoDJ where your listeners can request a track to be played next etc.

Would anyone be interested in this? I know that it won't be something that all stations would use due to licensing restrictions but thought I'd mention it.

I can't promise that it will be soon, but I'm just throwing the idea out there at this stage.

It's definately something that I'd want to offer, I'm not aware of any other hosts that do the same thing.

You are right there as far as I know... I have never seen another host offer this.

Now would this be an additional cost or an added feature to existing accounts and how would it be impletmented? Would it need to be down through the mixstream site or could it be intergrated into my own site?

I understand this is just in the ideas stage, but was just wondering if you had a direction to take it in or a very rough timeframe of when this would be happening (if at all from the lack of response here of other users).

I haven't started on this yet but most likely I'd have a system where you can host some code on your own website that contacts the mixstream server somehow. That would be easy to do, I'm currently developing something similar for AutoDJ resellers.

In my opinion this service will be unique and very attractive to new customers.

It's not something that I've properly considered yet as there doesn't seem to be a huge demand for it but I'll look in to ways of doing it

Yes it would be a great feature as long as there was a choice to opt out. It would be great to use it throughout the night or when there was not a Dj available, Switching it off when not required. Also it would be good if the track playing was also displayed in windows messenger.
