Can't get libshout to connect to s6

I can see s6 is up, the web interface is accessible, but I can't get libshout to connect.
The error I get:
Error connecting to http://s6.myradiostream.com:11334: Couldn't connect (-2)
Any ideas what's going wrong?
(I suspect the problem is not on my end, since a friend couldn't get ezstream to connect either, which also uses libshout but is known to be functional with other servers, icecast, etc.)

Our shoutcast servers are completely standard so it may be worth checking that you have the correct password.

You'll note the error was "Couldn't Connect," not "Login Failed."
