Re: Embedded WMP player for your website (works with shoutcast)
Are there different versions of the embedded Windows Media Player?
I have at least 2 examples of people with Win XP that are not genuine. They have Windows Media Player 9. When they go to my site to listen, they are prompted to upgrade Win Media Player to the latest version (otherwise it doesn't play). But they cannot upgrade, because they have non-genuine WinXP, so they cant listen.
Is there any "old" piece of code for the embedded WMP, that plays on WinXP systems with WMP version 9 or 10?
Thank you.

As far as I'm aware then code above should just use the version that the listener has installed, although I'll have to look in to that.
I believe that WMP 9 should be able to support shoutcast streams, does it work when you use an ASX file for them to tune in with?
