Encoder Problem In SAM Broadcaster

Postby skindog » Sat 19th Jun, 2010 10:22 pm

The encoder in SAM Connects, then, displays a "Time Out and Waiting To Buffer" message, then, it Disconnects. Even when it is connected, there is no broadcast coming from the player. I've been to several other discussion threads about this and the most popular answer is that it's a modem connection problem. My question is, is the problem on your side? My modem seems to work fine for everything else I do. Thanks for looking into this.

Hi,

Ive also that problem sometimes. However, i think that is not a Server Side problem and yes a Client Side problem.

As you know (i think) if we for example, want to broadcast with 128kbps we need (i think) at least 130 140 kbps on our upload conection speed, and sometimes we have 100 90 kbps.

So, if we have only 90, 100 kbps on Uploads we cant broadcast with 128kbps.

But well, its really not sure ... its only my idea.

Bye
