New Flash Player

Postby LDM Radio » Wed 18th Aug, 2010 9:37 pm

I am looking into changing the flash player for my online radio, but I need some help. I haven't done something like this before so if someone could walking me through it or point me to a tutorial I would be very grateful.

Thank you for your time.

Hi LDM :-)

I have embedded the flash player provided by Bell Online into my web page. It's nice and tidy and works a treat.
Here is the code you need to insert into the body if you want to use it....(Replace the "*" with your server number and port number OK)

<!-- Flash Player -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://shoutcast.mixstream.net/js/flash/uk*-free:*****">
You appear to have javascript turned off.
</script>

<!-- Server Status -->
<p align="center"> <span class="style38">LIVE Stream Status -</span>
<span class="style41">
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://shoutcast.mixstream.net/js/status/uk*-free:*****">
You appear to have javascript turned off.
</script>
</span>

You also need to make sure that you have the advert information in the same page as the stream may fail without this code being present !

<iframe src="http://s*.myradiostream.com/stream/13201/ads.htm" width="350" height="90" scrolling='No' frameborder='0' style='margin: auto;'>
<p><a href='http://s*.myradiostream.com/*****.htm' target="_blank">LISTEN HERE</a></p>
</iframe>

The code for the adverts (as shown above) will be different from what you need to use as you will be on a different server and port to me. You can get the code from the scripts page in your control panel. (display ad's code)

I coded this in Dreamweaver, so you may need to take out the "Span" code etc......but the JavaScript works just fine.

I hope this helps.

Regards

Mark
