S4 Problem

Postby parlourbeatflex » Wed 30th Jun, 2010 5:23 pm

Hi,

I run a radio off your free servers, broadcasting from multiple locations due to getting DJs to perform live sets. We recently migrated to you since l2mr proved to be 'the armpit' of free shoutcasting. At first we were impressed at how quickly different IPs could connect and broascast compared to l2mr....

Anyways,
Having some problems with the server 4.

Since last night it has been really dodgy, and is still now, completely unable to connect one of our residents up. 2 of the residents (including myself) are able to connect to the server fine. But one (he is using nicecast!?!) cannot connect at all.... His nicecast just says 'establishing connection' whenever he tried to connect.

We have moved to server 7 in the time being (or maybe for good since i changed our website code now) as that has been accepting him straight away.

Any idea what the problem is?
Is it that server 4 is different somehow to server 7, and this change needs to be shown in nicecast?
Is it that theres a broadcast user limit (god i hope not as we'll be saying goodbye freestreamhosting if so)???

Any help would be much appreciated...

Now were experiencing alot of audio dropouts on S7.

Considering i got referred here by a mate saying: 'the best in free streaming'... IM NOT HAPPY.

While i understand were not paying for anything i dont understand how you expect a station to even get off the ground with this current service.

Hi,

I am aware of some problems lately and will be adding new servers to the network starting this week. This will spread new users out and stop servers from becoming unstable.

It does cost quite a lot of money to set up a server which is why we don't have as many as we'd like on the free network - but I am going to be spending about £300 over the next 2 weeks to get a couple more servers running.
